About the project
Empire Fire Protection completed a full retrofit of three occupied condominium buildings at Newport Springs, replacing aging polybutylene fire sprinkler systems with new, code-compliant piping, plus a new Dry system for the parking garages. The project was performed in a 100% occupied environment, requiring careful planning, coordination, and sequencing to minimize disruption to residents. The project was completed in 35 days. Our team managed the project from design feasibility through final completion, ensuring all phases met technical, safety, and logistical requirements. We partnered with Sirius Solutions as the general contractor to execute the retrofit efficiently and safely. The new fire sprinkler systems were installed while the existing system remained active, maintaining full fire protection throughout construction. Upon completion, we successfully performed a controlled system switchover, ensuring seamless continuity of life safety protection for all three buildings.
