1. Scope of Services
Empire Fire Protection, Co. ("Empire," "we," "us," or "our") provides commercial fire protection services including, but not limited to:
- Fire sprinkler system design, installation, and tenant improvements
- Inspection, testing, and maintenance in accordance with NFPA 25
- Emergency service and repair
All services are performed in compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards, including NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
2. Service Agreements & Payment Terms
All services are governed by written contracts or proposals that define scope, pricing, and project-specific payment terms. Payment schedules may vary based on project type (e.g., progress billing, deposits, or lump sum).
- Failure to make payment as agreed may result in suspension of services until payment is received.
- Service suspension does not relieve the customer from payment obligations.
3. Warranties
Limited warranties may be offered depending on the nature of the work. Warranties are negotiated and documented at the time of contract signing. Unless expressly provided in writing, no other warranties (express or implied) are offered.
5. Licensing & Qualifications
Empire Fire Protection, Co. is a Washington State licensed contractor. Our team holds NICET certifications (Levels I–III) and is qualified in NFPA 13 fire sprinkler design and NFPA 25 inspection, testing, and maintenance.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
- Provide accurate project information and timely site access.
- Maintain heating in all areas containing wet sprinkler piping.
- Comply with inspection and testing requirements per NFPA 25 and local AHJ.
- Promptly notify Empire of any system damage, impairments, or emergencies.
7. Website & Platform Use
When accessing or using our website, portals, or future applications (the "Platform"):
- Content Ownership: All content, trademarks, and materials on the Platform are the property of Empire and may not be copied, redistributed, or used without permission.
- User Accounts: If you create an account on our Platform, you are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login information and for all activity under your account.
- Prohibited Uses: You may not use the Platform for unlawful purposes, to interfere with operations, or to attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Empire's liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.
- Empire is not responsible for damages caused by third parties, acts of God, or events beyond our reasonable control.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kitsap County, Washington, unless otherwise required by law.
12. Amendments
We may update these Terms of Service & Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates are effective upon posting to our website with a revised effective date.
