Service and Inspections Journeyman
Empire Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Fitter to support our growing service and inspection division. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who is confident working independently, understands code compliance, and takes pride in delivering quality service to customers.
Requirements:
- • Current ASSE or NICET certification
- • Current WA ITT
- • Current WA JL certification
- • 699 member
- • Extensive experience with fire sprinkler service and inspections
- • Strong communication and customer service skills
- • Have a track record of working clean, in clean environments
- • Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25
- • Valid drivers license
- • Strong knowledge of current technology such as iPad and iPhone
- • Ability to pass a background check

- • WA BAT
- • Seattle ASIII
- • Seattle FP
- • Knowledge of fire pump maintenance and repairs
- • Knowledge of old valves
Designer II
Empire Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Designer II to join our growing design team. This mid-level position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a solid foundation in fire protection system design and a strong understanding of NFPA standards. The Designer II works collaboratively with project managers, estimators, and field personnel to produce accurate, code-compliant fire sprinkler designs from concept through installation.
Requirements:
- • 3–6 years of experience in fire sprinkler design, preferably with a NICET Level II or higher certification (or actively pursuing)
- • Proficiency in Aosprink
- • Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and related standards.
- • Understanding of local and state fire codes, permitting processes, and submittal requirements.
- • Excellent problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and communication skills.
- • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- • Experience in both wet and dry systems; experience with special hazards or foam systems a plus.
- • Experience in stocklisting.
Preferred:
- • Self-starter with strong initiative and accountability.
- • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate across departments.
- • Eager to contribute to process improvement and design innovation.
- • Comfortable interacting directly with GCs, AHJs, and clients.
